For those who have no idea who I am, my name is Faraji Roberson, and here are three defining things about me.
Music
I am a firm believer that music is the best thing to exist on this planet, yes, better than sliced bread. I was first introduced to music when I was a kid. I remember listening to Lauryn Hill with my mom before my first day of school. From that day, my love for music only continued. Every Sunday morning, I was reunited with these sounds as I woke up to old school R&B. Now, admittedly, I didn't completely enjoy hearing them, not because it was bad music but because it meant I had to clean something. It was Bittersweet. However, as I got older, I grew to love the habit. Even now, when I clean, I often put some type of music on. Granted, it's not R&B that's my mom's type of music. I have a mix of a few genres, Indie Alternative, Rock, and Rap, to name a few.
Sports
If you ever have the misfortune to be in any type of competition with me, you will quickly learn I am extremely competitive. I absolutely despise losing, like, unless it's previously established that it's for fun, I'm giving it my all. It's to the point that if you ask any of my friends about it, they'll say I take things too seriously at times. Speaking of, I did do a multitude of sports in my life. Formally, I've been on a Soccer team Track team, and even a fencing squad however, I do play football and basketball in my free time with my friends.
Writing
I promise I'm not saying this because this is a writing class. I do genuinely enjoy writing, but I hate reading, though. I often catch myself watching battle rap and poetry simply because the complex wordplay and use of entendres keep me entertained and wanting more. I tend to prefer longer forms of content, and video essays and podcasts are my go-to in my pastime.
To be completely transparent, if you're looking for a blog that talks about anything serious, I'm not the blog for that. I try to make my blogs entertaining enough for people to laugh and come back, but studious enough so I don't lose credit. I do enjoy making these, and if I were to bring up ultra serious topics, it'll start to feel like an assignment, and I already have enough of those. But hey, even if you don't stay to see my upcoming blogs, I wish nothing but the best for you.
