Blog #1 | A Glimpse of Faraji Roberson

For those who have no idea who I am, my name is Faraji Roberson, and here are three defining things about me.

Music

I am a firm believer that music is the best thing to exist on this planet, yes, better than sliced bread.  I was first introduced to music when I was a kid. I remember listening to Lauryn Hill with my mom before my first day of school. From that day, my love for music only continued. Every Sunday morning, I was reunited with these sounds as I woke up to old school R&B. Now, admittedly, I didn't completely enjoy hearing them, not because it was bad music but because it meant I had to clean something. It was Bittersweet. However, as I got older, I grew to love the habit. Even now, when I clean, I often put some type of music on. Granted, it's not R&B that's my mom's type of music. I have a mix of a few genres, Indie Alternative, Rock, and Rap, to name a few.

Sports

If you ever have the misfortune to be in any type of competition with me, you will quickly learn I am extremely competitive. I absolutely despise losing, like, unless it's previously established that it's for fun, I'm giving it my all. It's to the point that if you ask any of my friends about it, they'll say I take things too seriously at times. Speaking of, I did do a multitude of sports in my life. Formally, I've been on a Soccer team Track team, and even a fencing squad however, I do play football and basketball in my free time with my friends.

Writing

I promise I'm not saying this because this is a writing class. I do genuinely enjoy writing, but I hate reading, though. I often catch myself watching battle rap and poetry simply because the complex wordplay and use of entendres keep me entertained and wanting more. I tend to prefer longer forms of content, and video essays and podcasts are my go-to in my pastime.

To be completely transparent, if you're looking for a blog that talks about anything serious, I'm not the blog for that. I try to make my blogs entertaining enough for people to laugh and come back, but studious enough so I don't lose credit. I do enjoy making these, and if I were to bring up ultra serious topics, it'll start to feel like an assignment, and I already have enough of those. But hey, even if you don't stay to see my upcoming blogs, I wish nothing but the best for you.

Basics in Blogging

HE Y YOU...what do you know about blogs? No seriously I want you to tell your screen if you know anything about blogs. Well, I can't hear what you answered so I'm just going to assume you know absolutely nothing. Yes i know you probably know more than zero but this won't work if I think you know anything now would it. That being said...      Blogs aren't anything complicated. Essentially, blogs are just online forums on a given topic that the writer chooses to write about. While they can be formal, they are normally informal, which allows the writer to be genuine and more like their true selves. The main thing that distinguishes blogs from articles is the ability to comment. Comments can be made by anyone, and they can practically say anything. From positive to negative and even criticism, these comments allow the reader to express their feelings about the blog. They are also interactive, which means anyone can reply to these comments, even the author....

The Disaster that is the Arizona Cardinals | Blog #2

You would think a team with one of the greatest quarterback prospects ever and a current top 10  quarterback would be good, right? You would think the oldest team in the NFL would have one of the better histories in the league, OR at the very least have a decent history, right? You would think that a professional sports team would at least have some level of competence, right? But that's your problem, your thinking, and that's not what the Cardinals organization likes to do. Once again, the Arizona Cardinals have me in complete disbelief at how a team could possibly be this atrocious on a field. Picture Taken From  State Farm Stadium Pictures (10/5/25)      Okay, let's rewind for a second so I can calm down. For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, the Arizona Cardinals are...a football team, to say the least, and recently, in week 5 of the NFL season, they went up against the Tennessee Titans. This was supposed to be an easy win for the ...
